Gone is the time where you are only able to source a UPVC or timber conservatory and were forced to commit to one manufacturer for your whole project. The large range of products HBD Systems are able to offer means you have numerous options for you material and design choices. You can choose from UPVC, Aluminium or timber for your lowers and UPVC or Aluminium for your roof. There are a 3 different manufacturers for the Aluminium roof alone allowing us to meet any requirements. You could even decide to have part of your conservatory with bifold doors!

Maintenance is a big factor in which materials to choose for your conservatory. Previously many conservatories were made of timber, but regardless of how well timber is made it will always require maintenance over the years. Ali in contrast is considered the most durable material to choose as it is less susceptible to degeneration and has minimal expansion/ contraction. If you are looking for the benefit of Ali with the look of timber we have the optional for internal timber caps. Although UPVC is not quite as durable as aluminium it has the benefit of only needing the odd wipe down with a cloth to keep it looking great! Both Aluminium and UPVC have the advantage that they do not rot, rust or fade over time, with virtually no maintenance you can mix and match to suit you.

Each of our manufacturers pay careful attention to detail resulting in an advanced conservatory system, this specifically means there is a minimal reliance and requirement for on-site sealants and silicone to achieve water tightness over coming potential leakage.

All products are fully accredited by the British Board of Agrément (BBA), the UK construction industry’s leading independent authority on building quality products.

Conservatory styles

The classic Edwardian conservatory allows you to maximise on space, the square front projection offers clean-cut elegance and dignified simplicity that blends easily into the character of your home. Edwardian conservatories are the ideal way to extend your home in style.

Here we have a style inspired by Victorian architecture and design. Complete with ornate cresting and finials, it is easy to see why this is one of our most popular styles. With its impressive versatility, a Victorian conservatory will complement most types of property, adding light, air and grandeur to your home. Available in 3 and 5 faceted versions, it is readily adapted to fit into whatever space is available – from a large garden to a small patio area.

This style is similar to an orangery and captures the proud architectural heritage of a conservatory. The stately design works well with both old and new properties and maximises space like the Edwardian style with its square shape. The gable end allows you to enjoy front elevations with the windows extending up to the apex of the roof. The additional light this brings will make your conservatory bright and airy while maximising the feeling of the space.

You find this gable design is also used in modern extensions where by a bifold door is installed with a gable above it to flood your room with more light.

A lean-to creates a luxurious link between your house and garden at an affordable price with a contemporary feel. The clean aesthetic lines are designed to run across the back of your home, the ends of your lean-to can be finished either vertically as gable ends or be hipped back diagonally from one of the front corners.

Remember our products are all very flexible! We have seen a rise recently in the lean-to roofs being installed between two walls to create more light from above a room.
