Situated in Hall Park, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire is a modern cedar-clad extension to a detached family home showcasing large windows, slimline sliding doors, and our expertise with rooflights and corner glazing.

This installation features a selection of our slimline aluminium windows, sliding doors and glass rooflights. Each element was carefully selected to create a tailored glazing solution that perfectly matched the client’s vision.

The contemporary design of this extension and the chosen colour scheme internally called for windows that would not only enhance the overall design, showcased here in the popular matt black finish. OW80 cornerless window

Elegant Origin OW80 Casement Windows

Seven windows are used around the project from the expertly crafted Origin OW80 aluminium windows. These windows feature a modern design as large single openers, top hung opening out. Indeed, Origin OW80s are some of the most technically capable windows you can buy, and they are available in some of the largest opening sizes compared to other brands. The OW80 is unique in that it offers a flush design both inside and out, enhancing the sleek, modern appearance of the home.

These windows are made from highly insulated aluminium and equipped with top brand Yale locking systems, ensuring optimal security and energy efficiency. The quality glass and impressive engineering of the OW80 windows create a stylish aesthetic and deliver high performance, making them an excellent choice for modern living spaces. The windows blend in beautifully with the dark kitchen, using black gaskets, window handles and of course, the frame colour.

Innovative Sunflex SVG20 Sliding doors

Two sets of sliding doors in the Sunflex SVG20 system are also installed on this project, accompanying the modern aluminium windows. These doors are renowned for their exceptional design and engineering, featuring ultra-slim 20mm mullions that provide almost uninterrupted views. Unlike other slimline doors, the Sunflex system is flush on the interior, offering a consistent look from every angle and allowing the doors to open and close completely flush.

Finishing touches included colour-matched architectural quality bar handles, multi-point locking mechanisms, insulated aluminium profiles, and high-performance safety glass, ensuring functionality and elegance. The sliding doors are designed with a flush track, providing a smooth transition to the outside area with a minimal step.

Vision AGI Rooflight

To further enhance the natural lighting in the kitchen area, we installed the Vision AGI rooflight. This fixed skylight is a timeless classic, with a simple yet elegant design that adds a touch of sophistication to any roof. The vision AGI rooflight is designed to let an abundance of natural light flood into the room below, creating a bright and welcoming environment. Viewed from the inside, it provides a near frameless appearance.

The skylight was installed pre-assembled, making it easy to lift into place and secure. Like all our windows and doors, this rooflight can be customised to match specific requirements, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with the home’s overall design.
