Designed with a mix of stone, red cedar wood panelling, and brick, the home’s exterior is complemented by visible oak lintels over the windows, creating a unique architectural statement.

The project Vision
The design of this home was centred around maximising natural light while ensuring a seamless connection between the interior and exterior spaces. Floor-to-ceiling glass was an essential part of the concept, as were modern and slim aluminium windows, allowing every room to open up to the patio and garden effortlessly. The glazing solution needed to offer slim sightlines, superior functionality, and high weather performance.
Our Door Solution: Sunflex SVG30 Sliding Doors
To achieve the desired aesthetic and practicality, we installed four sets of Sunflex SVG30 sliding doors in a combination of two and three-panel designs. Positioned across the ground floor elevation, these doors provide direct access to the contemporary patio and garden, enhancing indoor-outdoor living.
A key feature of these doors is the completely flush track, which allows the internal flooring and external slabs to align perfectly. This smooth transition ensures a seamless flow between inside and outside while maintaining full weather protection. Thanks to the exceptional engineering of Sunflex sliding doors, the flush track offers both accessibility and durability without compromising on performance.
Sunflex sliding doors, particularly the ultra-slim SVG30 model, deliver the perfect balance of modern styling, slim aluminium mullions, and excellent product quality. Unique to Sunflex is the ability for the panels to stack fully flush when opened, maximising the clear opening and enhancing the open-plan feel.
The three-panel configuration allows flexibility, with a sliding panel on either side, enabling effortless access to the outdoor space. The doors also feature high-quality stainless steel hardware, elevating their overall styling. Externally, the recessed flush-fitted handles match the jet black frame, while internally, the black architectural pull handles provide a sleek, minimalistic aesthetic and effortless operation.
Origin OW-80 Aluminium Windows
In addition to the Sunflex sliding doors, the home features the Origin OW-80 aluminium window system. These are the only aluminium windows in the UK that are flush both inside and out, ensuring a clean, modern appearance. The windows are designed as picture windows to illuminate the stairway, gable windows with fixed and opening elements, and a mix of standard windows in two- and three-module designs.
At the front of the home, a striking square bay window is framed with oak corner posts and surrounds, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern performance. The Origin OW-80 system enhances the home’s contemporary look while providing exceptional energy efficiency, security, and durability.
The combination of black aluminium glazing, stone cladding, and timber detailing results in a stunning contrast that defines the home’s character. The minimalist frames of the Sunflex doors and Origin OW-80 windows allow the natural materials of the build to remain the focal point, while the glazing maximises light and space.
