TIMBER CASEMENT FLUSH WINDOWS

The Casement Flush window within the HBD Timber Collection combines traditional aesthetics and contemporary functionality. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, these windows are purposefully designed to mimic the classic appearance of period windows. This design preserves the historical charm of older properties and brings them into the modern age with advanced operational features.

At the heart of the Casement Flush window is its conservation-centric design. This style is particularly favoured for heritage and listed properties, where maintaining architectural integrity is crucial.

The design is characterised by its sash, which sits perfectly within the frame, creating an elegantly flush exterior finish. This enhances the window’s visual appeal and respects conservation area properties and character homes.

Despite its traditional appearance, the Casement Flush doesn’t compromise on modern functionality. The windows incorporate the latest hardware, components and craftsmanship, ensuring they are easy to use and maintain.

Premium security comes as standard with your new windows, fitted with multipoint locks, luxurious window handles with key locking, internal glazing and other security features built into the design. Period style with 21st Century technology.

Casement Flush Windows specifications

Our flush windows are handcrafted to perfection, made here in the UK & offer a traditional look outside the property with the window sash finishing flush with the frame.

Mass-produced timber manufacturers that focus on speed can often be identified by their use of shadow grooves on the frame and sash corner joints. Shadow grooves are used regularly because they hide corners that are not perfectly flush fitting. Decades of bench joinery experience enables us to achieve mortice and tenon corner joints that are seamless, flush and almost invisible. We finish them flush because we proudly enjoy having nowhere to hide. Our corners are perfect every time.

Our windows and doors are externally beaded, which gives them the traditional look they deserve. Our glass is security taped in place meaning it cannot be removed from the outside by unwanted intruders. External beading not only looks better, but it also eliminates the risk of water building up in the rebate channel, which can inevitably work its way through an internal bead into the home causing damage to internal surfaces.

Premium Timber Options: Sapele & Accoya

Choosing sustainable, renewable and recyclable building materials is more important than ever. Our windows and doors are crafted from FSC-certified timber, helping to support responsibly managed forests and a continuous, renewable supply of natural materials.

Crafted from premium African hardwood, Sapele is a durable and naturally resilient choice for external joinery. Its rich reddish-brown colour and refined grain make it particularly well suited to period renovations, heritage properties and contemporary high-end homes.

Accoya is an excellent upgrade to Sapele for casement windows because of its exceptional stability. Through a process called acetylation, the timber becomes far more resistant to moisture movement, meaning it is much less likely to swell, shrink or twist over time.

For homeowners this results in windows that continue to open, close and seal properly for many years. Accoya also holds paint finishes extremely well, helping reduce maintenance while preserving the appearance of the timber frame.
