Project Details: Kings Langley – Roof light + windows
Working with our client and Novate, the architects, this sophisticated and ultra-modern rooflight to a spectacular kitchen extension creates a dramatically different space. It helps to maximise how the room feels despite the narrower overall width.
The design of the bespoke flat rooflight comprises a lean-to design for the main roof element, using 40mm aluminium box rafters. Then, the rooflight continues down the side elevation of the extension, bringing light to the entire room and the main seating area in front of the industrial-style patio doors.
Also running the length of the extension are four large picture windows, bringing even more daylight as they run along the wall and seamlessly meet the glazed rooflight.
