Dividing the living, dining and kitchen spaces, Origin’s internal steel-inspired doors provide an elegant, modern and distinctive way to divide any interior space whilst letting more light flow between your rooms. This installation of Origin internal doors in Hertfordshire has several single doors and a larger screen comprising double doors with side panels.
Specifically designed for inside the home, Origin internal doors don’t need thermal insulation, double-glazed designs, security or sealing of our exterior doors. As a result, they’re slimmer viewed from all angles and are designed to replicate the super-thin profiles of classic steel doors, but at a fraction of the price.
Black remains the most popular colour, and these doors are professionally coated in RAL 9005 matt, with matching colour handles and hinges. The low-maintenance finish is also designed to withstand the rigours of everyday and family living, bearing in mind that our internal doors are used much more daily than our windows or patio doors.

Single internal doors
Separating the rooms is a selection of single doors designed to open into the room and operated with an architectural quality internal door handle that looks stylish and is wonderfully tactile in use. Each door has a latch locking facility only to close the door, and being interior doors, additional locking isn’t usually required.
Internal doors are required to have no threshold. Origin OI-30 interior doors are designed with minimal clearance at the bottom, letting the floors run clean and uninterrupted between the rooms and with no step or potential trip hazard. And even when the doors are opened, we’ve even provided a matching wall-stop to protect the walls from any contact with the door handle when the door is fully opened.
Internal French doors with side panels.
Separating the lounge area from the kitchen and dining space that leads out to the garden through our stylish Sunflex sliding doors, is a larger set of internal doors, this time as a double door set with side panels. These have the benefit of creating two separate spaces whilst opening fully to connect them when required.
The design of these doors has the lead door with the same feature handle backplate and designer door handles, two horizontal glazing bars, perfectly lining through with the side panels. Stylish finger bolts secure the secondary leaf with a discreet floor-mounted keep for the bolt to engage into.
The side panels of this gorgeous door and screen set have solid black panels at the lower portions, designed for visual impact and again replicating the style of period steel doors.
The double door set with side panels also comes powder coated in the same matt black colour and with safety glass throughout, protecting from impacts and providing glass strength and peace of mind. The floors run uninterrupted here, from the living area to the kitchen diner.
