Project Details: Timber windows in Hertfordshire

A fantastic new build project with one of our most sought after builders that we have partnered with more for than six years.  Impala Property Ventures, the client and HBD Systems worked to ensure we met the clear vision of the client helping them perfect their design for their St. Albans home. This project of timber-look windows in Hertfordshire , combined with contemporary Sunflex sliding doors, transforms this modern detached property into something truly special.

This particular project merges classically-styled windows with modern doors, to a gorgeous family home in St. Albans. Our bespoke approach to this project provides the perfect balance of style, design and functionality, with architectural appeal.

Period timber-look windows in Hertfordshire

Throughout the property, the windows comprise our tradition sliding sash windows in high-performance luxurious PVCu.  There’s no better material for recreating the look of period sash windows.

Designed in two and three module designs, the windows come with a soft cream finish and all the authentic design features.  These include mechanical window joints, timber window sightlines, profiled astragal bars, period chrome hardware and the sliding sash design.  At the same time, these windows offer optimum performance with outstanding energy-efficiency, helping this modern home stay warm in winter and comfortable in the summer.

Contemporary Sunflex SVG20 sliding doors.

Accompanying our installation of timber look windows in Hertfordshire are the advanced and sophisticated Sunflex sliding doors with incredible overall quality, cutting-edge design and unique features.

Using the slimline Sunflex SVG20 model, balancing slim sightlines, practicality, and superior performance. The doors’ 20mm central mullion creates today’s desirable minimalist aesthetic.  Yet unlike other doors with a 20mm mullion, is unique in looking the same from inside, viewed from any angle.

A significant and unique aspect of the Sunflex sliding doors is their flush stacking design.  This feature, not available with sliding doors generally, enables the doors to open fully and park flush and flat, eliminating the staggered door appearance of other sliding doors that can detract from the overall aesthetic. Not only does this create a wider open patio door than other sliders on the market, but also makes the doors look equally attractive, open or closed.

Designed in a three panel configuration, two sets of sliding doors create a beautiful rear elevation, complete with flush internal floor level. Operated by the colour-matched modern bar handle, these doors are smooth and near-silent to move.  The high performance safety glass combined with the sleek insulated aluminium profiles ensures optimum insulation, security and weather protection.

Above all, the contemporary styling of these doors makes them a focal point in any room, marrying functionality with high-end design, and their complementary dark grey colour, works in harmony with the cream coloured windows.

Finishing off stunning home is a contemporary Origin front door in a modern grey finish, full panel design, stainless steel hardware, automatic locking system and low threshold.
